GODOX V480S TTL Flash for Sony
The GODOX V480S is designed for photographers who value portability, ease of use, and extensive light-shaping capabilities. A 2.0" color touchscreen, TTL support, Manual and Multi modes, and HSS synchronization up to 1/8000 s allow you to quickly adjust the flash to changing conditions. The built-in Godox X 2.4 GHz wireless system makes it easy to work with multiple flash units, and the high-capacity battery provides up to 650 full-power flashes. Control Without Interrupting Your Work
The 2.0" color touchscreen works in conjunction with physical buttons, allowing you to adjust settings using both gestures and traditional controls. Taps, swipes, and buttons let you navigate the menu efficiently and adjust settings without unnecessarily taking your attention away from the scene you’re photographing. The display also shows the current effective flash range, which helps you quickly assess whether your subject is at the right distance. This feature is particularly useful in small rooms, when bouncing light off surfaces, and during dynamic events where conditions can change from shot to shot.


Full control over the flash’s characteristics
The V480S supports TTL, Manual, and Multi modes, allowing you to choose the operating mode that best suits the specific situation and your own shooting style. Synchronization with high-speed sync (HSS) shutter speeds up to 1/8000 s gives you greater freedom when shooting in bright environments or when you need a wider aperture. You also have access to flash exposure compensation, which allows you to precisely adjust the light intensity without changing other settings. Support for first- and second-curtain sync, meanwhile, allows you to creatively capture motion and time the flash to achieve your desired effect.


Godox X 2.4 GHz System
The built-in Godox X wireless system, operating on the 2.4 GHz band, allows the flash to function as both a transmitter and a receiver. You get 32 channels, and the communication range extends up to 100 m, allowing you to build more advanced lighting setups without the need for an additional trigger. You can control individual strobes directly from the V480S, which streamlines workflow during studio and on-location shoots. This solution also makes it easy to gradually expand your lighting setup without changing the basic control method.


Portability and a High-Capacity Battery
Weighing 282 g without the battery and 361 g with it, the V480S remains easy to transport and does not add excessive weight to the camera during use. The included 7.2 V / 2200 mAh battery allows for up to 650 full-power flashes, and the flash’s recharge time is just 1.7 seconds. As a result, the unit performs well even during rapid bursts of photography and at events where it’s difficult to predict when the next shot will be taken. The USB-C port allows you to recharge the battery between sessions or during breaks, which enhances convenience during all-day shoots.


Light at the Right Angle
You can tilt the head from –7° to 120° and rotate it 330°, allowing you to precisely direct the flash directly at the subject or bounce it off walls, the ceiling, or other surfaces. This makes it easier to achieve soft fill light, stronger side lighting, or more natural facial lighting. The built-in LED offers 10 brightness levels and lets you assess, even before taking the photo, how the light source’s positioning will affect shadows and the brightest parts of the frame. The photographer can thus check the direction and intensity of the lighting in advance and then fine-tune the main flash setting more precisely.


More Ways to Shape Light
The built-in reflector helps create clear catchlights in the subject’s eyes, while the wide-angle diffuser spreads and softens the light—which is useful for group photos and portraits taken in natural settings, among other scenarios. Both options are available without the need for additional accessories, so you can adjust the flash’s character directly during the shoot. You can further expand the flash’s capabilities using the S3 mount, which allows you to use Bowens-mount accessories such as softboxes, reflectors, and spotlights. As a result, a single compact flash becomes the foundation for both a simple portable setup and a more elaborate lighting rig.
