ILFORD SFX 200 is a medium-speed black and white film with expanded sensitivity to red light, making it an excellent choice for infra-red style photography. When used with a dark red filter, SFX 200 turns the blue sky almost black and green vegetation almost white, creating a striking infra-red photography effect. Unlike traditional infra-red films, SFX 200 can be loaded in low light and is compatible with all standard black and white developers, producing high-quality, medium-contrast negatives. SFX 200 can also be used with other color filters, such as yellow, orange, or light red, allowing for the creation of equally impressive special effects.
