The Omron Gentle Temp 521 ear fever meter is very accurate in its measurement technology. The digital ear thermometer detects the infrared heat coming from the eardrum and the tissues around it and converts it into the corresponding ear temperature. Gentle Temp is more pleasant, faster, safer and easier to use for adults and children than measuring from the armpit. The temperature can be measured even while the child is sleeping. The temperature measured from the ear corresponds exactly to the body's internal temperature (the so-called core temperature). The temperature measured from the ear is not affected by distractions like the temperature measured from the mouth (e.g. talking, drinking and smoking). 3 in 1 - measures the temperature of the ear, the surface and reports the room temperature.
