AQARA Presence Sensor FP2 (PS-S02D)

Aqara Presence Sensor FP2 uses state-of-the-art millimeter wave radar technology that can accurately detect the presence of people even with small movements. This technology ensures the accurate and stable operation of the desired mode of operation of the home automation rules. It also has zone function positioning, which enables the automation of various functions in different zones, e.g. in the area of the bed or table. One space can now be divided into up to 30 small zones and a maximum of five objects can be detected (Multi-person Detection). It can also be used to control other smart devices in the home through ecosystems like Apple Home to achieve wider functions. The sensor also has human fall detection and a built-in light sensor. Power supply via USB-C (no battery).

Area detection: The Aqara Presense Sensor offers significant advantages over a traditional PIR infrared motion sensor by using a single radar sensor to monitor rooms up to 40 m². In addition, you can divide it into up to 30 zones, such as sofa, bed or desk. In addition, individual automation can be defined for each zone.

Multiple person identification: Possible to identify up to 5 target persons at the same time. The detector can recognize people in different areas and perform different automations.

Highly accurate detection: FP2 can detect the presence of a person from even the smallest movement, such as the rising of the chest during breathing. Millimeter wave radar technology is more stable than infrared sensor detection, even when you are sitting or sleeping.

Control other devices via HomeKit, etc.: FP2 appears as multiple sensors in HomeKit (and Home Assistant), Alexa, and Google Home. You can easily integrate the sensor without a hub.

Fall Detection and Alerts*: FP2 can detect and notify you if someone in the room falls. No need to use equipment or install a camera for continuous monitoring. The area is a circle with a radius of 2 meters and the accuracy of fall detection is >98%. The recommended installation height of the device is 2.5 - 2.8 m.

Local automation and flexible installation methods: The detector works locally after installation. FP2's automation still works according to the original setting, despite possible Wi-Fi network instabilities. FP2 protects your privacy by including multiple installation methods for different installation scenarios.

IPX5 and hidden USB-C port: due to its IP rating, the sensor can also be installed in damp areas, such as the bathroom. The sensor has a USB-C port for power supply.

*Only ceiling placement is supported for fall detection. Fall detection can only detect normal falls and cannot be used as a substitute for medical equipment or vision. Currently, fall detection cannot distinguish between slowly falling against a wall or passing out after sitting down.
