10 years after the launch of the original Mirra chair and more than 1.5 million Mirra chairs sold, Studio 7.5 together with Herman Miller decided to reflect on the design of the original Mirra. Work patterns had become more mobile and the more people are on the move the more they need a chair that supports movement. Studio 7.5 tested every part and feature of the original chair and fine-tuned the mobility to meet today's needs. Mirra2's product development was not only about improving the chair's features, but also about increasing the recyclability of the parts used in the chair. As a result, the carbon footprint was reduced by 25% and the chair is a lighter and sleeker version of the original Mirra chair.

The chair retained the flexible and breathable mesh material - AireWeave 2 - in the seat section. The chair was given two different backrest options; Butterfly suspension back and TriFlex 2 Polymer back. "In the 'Butterfly back' design, a flexible polymer suspension suspension combines with the mesh-like fabric to form a back that follows your movements. The shaped TriFlex polymer buckle is clearly a more snug option. The height- and depth-adjustable lumbar support allows the support to be adjusted to the right position and position for each seat, supporting the natural position of the spine and keeping the sitter in good posture.
