Roland VAD316 V-Drums electric drum set offers a five-piece drum experience inspired by acoustic design, combining wooden, low-mass tom shells and a full-size bass drum. This set is designed to provide the feel and layout of a traditional acoustic kit while allowing for precise volume adjustment. The V31 sound module incorporates advanced drum sounds and practice tools, and offers wireless connectivity to Roland Cloud, where you can download additional sound expansions and other content.

Acoustic Feel and Construction for Electronic Drums

The VAD316 tom pads are made of wood and feature a low shell, providing a natural tone and feel. The full-size 18" bass drum uses an innovative sensor system attached to the head, expanding the trigger area and allowing for adjustable rebound. The snare drum is a 12" PDA120LS model with a tunable mesh head and rim-shot capability, making cross-stick technique easy to perform.

Versatile Pads and Cymbals

The set includes two crash cymbals (12" and 14") and a 16" ride cymbal, all with a natural response, multiple trigger zones, and a muting option. The VH-10 hi-hat is mounted on a traditional hi-hat stand (sold separately), allowing for a natural open/closed control. Additionally, the set includes two extra trigger inputs for additional instruments or digital pads.

Module and Connectivity

The V31 sound module features the same engine as the Roland V71 and V51 models, offering a wide range of high-quality drum sounds. The module includes a built-in coach function, such as a phrase trainer and beat monitor, as well as Melodics content to support practice. Via the USB-C connection, the module functions as a multi-channel audio and MIDI device, and Bluetooth audio allows for music streaming from a mobile device. Wireless connectivity simplifies expansion management and module function control via a smartphone app.

Rack Solutions and Installation

The set includes three sturdy DCS-30 drum combination stands, providing good stability and versatile mounting options. Assembling the drum set is easy with the included tools, and the overall design is suitable for both home practice, studio use, and live performance.

Expandability

Through Roland Cloud, you can continuously download additional sound expansions and other content, expanding the creative possibilities of the drum set over time. Additionally, the module supports personal drum monitor series and other V-Drums accessories sold as optional extras.

*Bass drum pedal (kick pedal), hi-hat stand, snare stand, and drum throne are not included.*
