Black Diamond Beta Light 30 - Backpack, Large (BD6800230040LRG1)

The Black Diamond Beta Light 30 backpack is a super-lightweight carry for a couple of overnight hikes or for the down-to-earth hiker. The backpack is essentially made from top quality, lightweight and, for its weight, durable Challenge Sailcloth Ultra 200 fabric. In the most abrasion-prone areas, the more durable Ultra 400 material is used. Combined with the roll-up closure, the waterproof fabric makes the backpack highly resistant to the elements. However, the seams are not sealed, so the backpack is not fully waterproof.

Inspired by jogging backpacks, the bib-like carrying system distributes the weight evenly and keeps the backpack firmly in place. The shoulder straps also have additional pockets for things like snacks. The detachable hipbelt also has zipped pockets on both sides. The backpack also has a removable support plate for added stability. When fully equipped, the backpack weighs only 695 g. Without the support plate and hipbelt, the backpack weighs only 452 g.

The backpack has a stretchy mesh pocket on the front and elastic pockets on the sides. Ultra-lightweight yet functional compression straps help to securely bind your belongings and fasten lightweight items to the outside of the backpack. Inside the backpack there is a place for a hydration pouch.
