The TCL 98" C8L is a premium 4K SQD Mini-LED television that combines extreme brightness, advanced image control, and versatile smart features through the Google TV operating system. With a peak brightness of up to 6000 nits, it delivers an exceptionally stunning viewing experience even in very large and bright spaces. Mini-LED technology and Super QLED color technology ensure deep blacks, high contrast, and extremely bright, pure colors without distracting halo effects.
Picture Quality and Technology
The 98" C8L utilizes TCL's advanced SQD-Mini LED technology, featuring 4032 precise local dimming zones for extremely accurate light and shadow control. The CSOT WHVA 2.0 Ultra panel enhances native contrast, reduces reflections, and provides a consistent viewing experience even from wide viewing angles. Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+, and HLG support guarantee top-tier HDR images that adapt to ambient lighting.
Smart Features and Operating System
Google TV offers access to a wide range of streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Yle Areena. The built-in Google Assistant (hands-free) enables voice control without a remote, and Miracast and AirPlay support make wireless content sharing from smart devices to the TV easy.
Sound and Design
Audio by Bang & Olufsen sound solution provides clear, balanced, and spacious audio that pairs well with the large screen without the need for a separate sound system.
The ultra-thin Ultra Slim Design and micro-OD structure enabled by Mini-LED technology make the 98-inch TV surprisingly slim and modern. The nearly bezel-less design enhances image immersion and makes the TV an impressive part of home décor.
Gaming and Performance
A native refresh rate of 144 Hz and up to 288 Hz VRR gaming mode ensure extremely smooth motion. AMD FreeSync reduces screen tearing and latency, making the TV an excellent choice for high-performance console and PC gaming. The Gamebar offers quick access to essential gaming settings.
TCL AI and Image Enhancement
The TSR AiPQ processor uses artificial intelligence to optimize the image in real time, improving contrast, sharpness, and color reproduction. TCL AI automatically enhances picture, sound, and user experience across different content types.
Connections and Interfaces
The TV features 4 HDMI 2.1 ports (including eARC/ARC), USB connections, as well as WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring fast and stable connections for modern devices.
