Product description
The Park Tool TM-1 spoke tension meter allows you to check the tension of your wheel spokes and make your wheels evenly tensioned and durable. The professional-quality gauge is suitable for both round and flattened aero surfaces. The surface material can be steel, aluminium, titanium or carbon fibre. The gauge gives a reading which is converted to the tension (kgf) of each surface type according to the table supplied with the gauge. Evenly tensioned surfaces are particularly important when using lightweight hoops. An unevenly tensioned wheel will break easily and over-tightening of the surfaces can break the rim or hub.
Always remember to release the tool spring after working to prevent the spring from dying. A change in spring tension will cause the tool to lose accuracy.
