Product description
A cup used for bleeding hydraulic bicycle brakes, suitable for Shimano brakes that use mineral oil. Above all, it is suitable for gravity bleeding, where the cup is placed with the lever at the highest point and the brake caliper at the lowest.
- Remove the brake pads and place a bleed block between the pistons to prevent the pistons from being pushed out.
- Remove the lever bleed screw.
- Screw the cup into place (ensure the O-ring was removed along with the screw).
- Attach a suitable hose and reservoir to the brake caliper bleed screw.
- Fill the cup with mineral oil.
- Loosen the brake caliper bleed screw to allow new brake fluid to flow through the system.
- Pump the brake lever to draw the brake fluid from the lower end.
- Refill the cup if necessary to prevent air from entering the system.
- Finally, tighten the brake caliper bleed screw.
- Pump a few more times to ensure all air bubbles have left the hose (you can even tap the hose).
- Remove the cup and screw in the bleed screw with the O-ring.
