PANASONIC LUMIX S5 II Body (07939FOC)

Panasonic presents the LUMIX S5II mirrorless camera with a hybrid phase detection AF system, improved Active I.S., and a newly developed 24-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor. This innovative addition to the LUMIX S series, in a sleek matte black LUMIX S5II, delivers incredible productivity for both video and photography. This camera is also exceptionally mobile and easy to carry. It was designed to meet the needs of the most ambitious creators. This model is built with a 24-megapixel 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor and the Venus engine. The sensor supports hybrid phase detection, features auto-focus detection, and the new processor ensures excellent image quality and high video speeds comparable to the LUMIX S1H. This camera is compatible with the entire existing range of 14 LUMIX S lenses as well as additional full-frame L-Mount lenses manufactured by Panasonic's L-Mount partners.


 

  

 

New LUMIX AF performance standards


With the new image processor, developed in partnership with LEICA and LUMIX, and the new 24-megapixel sensor, the LUMIX S5II and S5IIX are the first LUMIX cameras to offer hybrid phase detection autofocus. The camera utilizes a new hybrid phase AF system, combining PDAF with Contrast Detect AF. The new system can detect objects more accurately in complex conditions, such as low or backlit lighting. Continuous AF during zoom and AF micro-adjustments are also available.

 

  

 

 

Abundant video features and recording options


The new processor provides the LUMIX S5IIX and S5II with exceptionally broad video recording capabilities. Internal recording is available at 4:2:0 10-bit 6K (3:2) and 5.9K (16:9) at 30 fps, as well as 4:2:2 C4K and 4K at up to 60 fps, while the new low-profile thermal management system allows for unlimited recording time. These cameras also support HFR (High Frame Rate) recording at up to 120 fps. Various video profiles are available, including 14+ stops of V-Log/V-Gamut, as well as the REAL TIME LUT function.

Professional photo and video performance


Thanks to a multitude of new and improved features, the LUMIX S5IIX can ensure truly stunning photo and video quality and productivity, including ultra-fast shooting up to 9 fps with mechanical shutter and 30 fps with electronic shutter (capable of capturing up to 300 images) at 96 megapixels. High-resolution mode (JPEG/RAW) and dual native ISO sensitivity reduce noise and allow for a maximum of 51,200. The LUMIX S5IIX and S5II also boast an improved image stabilization system that can significantly enhance handheld shooting in various conditions. The new Active I.S. ensures highly stable video recording, optimized for horizontal, vertical, and rotational correction.
