The Coros Heart Rate Monitor is an optical heart rate strap worn on the biceps that measures heart rate from the arm instead of the traditional chest strap. Wearing it on the biceps provides the sensor with sufficient blood flow for accurate heart rate data collection and frees up the chest for clothing and device use. The flexible fabric strap is adjusted with a slider, and the sensor detaches with a Velcro fastener for washing the strap. Battery life is 38 hours of full use and 80 days in standby mode.

Accurate measurement from the arm

Optical heart rate sensors work closely against the skin, and the sensor is designed to stay evenly against the arm so that external light does not interfere with the measurement. This keeps the signal quality stable regardless of activity. Placement on the biceps provides the sensor with blood flow comparable to the accuracy of a traditional chest strap.

Durable construction

The sensor is protected by a scratch-resistant casing designed for long-term use. The strap material is polyester fiber, nylon, and spandex, and it is waterproof with a 3 ATM rating. The Velcro fastener allows quick removal of the sensor from the strap for washing.

Long battery life and automatic start

With one charge, the heart rate strap operates for 38 hours in full use or 80 days in standby mode. Charging is done via a USB-A cable and takes less than 2 hours. Built-in usage detection automatically turns the strap on and off based on use. Battery level can be checked remotely from a Coros watch or phone app.

Connectivity and compatibility

The heart rate strap automatically connects to paired devices when a workout begins. It can be paired simultaneously with up to three devices. The strap works with Coros watches and apps as well as other Bluetooth-compatible devices such as exercise bikes and third-party watches.
