Aphelion (PS5) is an action-adventure game set in the year 2060, when Earth has become uninhabitable. The game follows the Hope 01 scientific mission sent by the European Space Agency (ESA) to a new planet, Persephone. The player controls two astronauts, Ariane and Thomas, who have been separated due to an accident. Their mission is to determine whether humanity can find a new home on the distant, frozen world.

A realistic sci-fi adventure

Aphelion offers a realistic depiction of near-future space exploration. The game world was designed in collaboration with ESA, adding credibility and depth to the story. Players experience the perspectives of two astronauts with different play styles: Thomas explores the environment and solves problems, while Ariane uses her parkour skills to survive dangerous situations.

Exciting survival struggle

The game features a strong survival theme, where the player must avoid threatening creatures and use the environment to their advantage. Movement is smooth and immersive, including climbing, sliding, and momentum-based actions. Sometimes the player must sneak and act cautiously, as unpredictable dangers lie ahead.
