Extralink SFP RJ45 with a throughput of 1000 Mb/s is an efficient, economical module compliant with the Gigabit Ethernet and 1000-BASE-T standards specified in IEEE 802. 3-2002 and IEEE 802.3ab. The SFP RJ45 transceiver supports a data transmission rate of 1000 Mb/s over a maximum distance of up to 100 metres for Category 5 Ethernet cable. The SFP RJ45 module supports full duplex data links with a throughput of 1000 Mb/s using 5-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM). All four pairs in the cable are used with a symbol rate of 250 Mbps for each pair. Extralink SFP RJ45 provides standard serial ID information, compliant with SFP MSA , which can be accessed via address A0h through a 2-wire CMOS EEPROM serial protocol. Physical IC access can also be obtained via the two-wire serial bus at address A0h. The SFP RJ45 transceiver is compatible with most gigabit SFP ports found in network devices. The all-metal housing of the Ethernet SFP module means the device has low EMI. The transceiver presented here is intended for HP/Aruba devices.
