The RODE M5 is a compact ½” cardioid condenser microphone with low noise and full frequency response. Thanks to years of experience in developing the multi-award-winning NT5 microphone, RODE has managed to produce a high-quality condenser “pencil” with fixed polarization that will impress even the most demanding artists and technicians.

The M5 is ideal for both studio recording and on-stage sound reinforcement. It can be used on a variety of acoustic instruments, choirs, or wherever the situation calls for the deployment of small-diaphragm condenser microphones, either individually or in stereo pairs.

Each pair of microphones has been carefully selected so that the difference in sensitivity between the microphones is no more than 1 dB. A pair authentication certificate is supplied with the microphones and accessories.

The ceramic coating gives the M5 microphone a sleek matte black finish while protecting it well against scuffs and scratches.

The M5-MP is supplied at the same time with a WS5 wind protector and RM5 holder for each microphone.
