ExtraDigital 03518DC Lens HD / 1/2" / 3.5-18 mm

This HD 1/2-inch lens with a 3.5-18mm variable focal length and model 03518DC is a high-performance optical solution designed for professional video surveillance, security, or other specific imaging systems. With its variable focal length (varifocal design), it provides excellent flexibility and adaptability to various fields of view – from wide panoramic shots (3.5mm) to detailed close-ups (18mm). This allows a single lens to effectively fulfill the functions of multiple fixed-focal-length lenses, reducing costs and installation complexity.
The lens is optimized for use with 1/2-inch type image sensors, ensuring superior image quality and clarity in high resolution. The "DC" designation indicates direct current (DC) auto iris control, which automatically adjusts the amount of light entering the sensor. This is crucial in varying lighting conditions, providing a consistently bright and detailed image both day and night. Such iris control helps maintain optimal exposure and depth of field, enhancing camera performance and reducing the need for manual adjustment.
This lens is an excellent choice when you need to build a video surveillance system capable of adapting to various environmental conditions and providing both a broad overview and the capture of fine details. Its robust construction and high-quality optics guarantee reliable and long-term operation.
