The Garmin Edge 1060 GPS bike computer is a companion for cyclists who want to ride on their own terms and always know where they are. On the bright color touchscreen, you can see ride statistics, navigation instructions, and training data, and the device can also be operated using buttons. Thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker, you can keep your eyes on the road while exploring new routes on roads, gravel paths, and trails.

Find your own route on roads, gravel, and trails

The Edge® 1060 offers preloaded cycling maps and navigation features that help you explore new areas. Advanced route options can recommend a route based on total elevation gain, travel time, and bike type. You can create routes directly on the device using the responsive touchscreen. The map shows, among other things, the type of road surface, popular routes as heat maps, and street names. The ClimbPro ascent planner shows the remaining climb and gradient, and with the Ahead feature, you can choose to display, for example, cafés, fountains, or public restrooms. You can also send a pinned location from the Apple® Maps app on a compatible smartphone to the Edge device and get cycling-optimized directions to that destination. You can also search for nearby climbs directly on the map.

Train towards your goal

Garmin Coach training programs are free and personalized, suitable for race preparation and fitness improvement. The real-time Stamina feature developed by Garmin Human Performance Lab shows how long you can maintain your current effort. Power Guide recommends power targets for the entire route and adjusts them during the ride. Stamina requires a compatible power meter and heart rate monitor, and using wind data requires a compatible smartphone and the Garmin Connect™ app.

Stay connected with your group and loved ones

With the built-in microphone and Garmin Messenger™ app, you can send text and voice messages through a connected smartphone. Voice command effectiveness may vary depending on riding conditions. You will receive alerts about road hazards reported by other cyclists, such as potholes, closed roads, or fallen trees. The GroupRide feature shows the real-time location of other cyclists in your group, and the LiveTrack™ feature allows you to share your location with friends and family. These features require a compatible smartphone and the Garmin Connect™ app. Incident detection can send an alert to your contacts in an emergency and keep them updated on your status. The internal speaker plays training and navigation prompts, and the loud bell lets you warn other cyclists and pedestrians.
