The Optoma UHZ36STe is a compact 4K UHD DLP laser projector offering 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of up to 500,000:1. Thanks to its short throw distance, the projector can produce a large image from close to the screen or wall, making it suitable for spaces with limited projector placement options.

DuraCore laser technology provides up to 30,000 hours of use without lamp replacements and requires minimal maintenance. The projector also supports 24/7 continuous operation and 360-degree installation.

Sharp and vivid image

True 4K UHD resolution (3840 × 2160) delivers 8.3 million pixels and detailed images for watching movies, sports, and gaming. HDR10 and HLG support enhance the reproduction of details, textures, and depth in compatible HDR content.

The projector can reproduce the Rec.709 color space, and the Colour Management System (CMS) allows fine-tuning of color settings according to the viewing environment. With 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness, the image can be viewed even in lit rooms, provided direct sunlight or other light sources do not hit the screen.

Short throw distance simplifies placement

The UHZ36STe has a throw ratio of 0.496:1, with a projection distance of 0.33–3.3 meters. Thanks to the short throw, an approximately 100-inch image can be formed from just over one meter away. Placing the projector closer to the wall or screen also helps reduce shadows on the image.

Both vertical and horizontal ±15-degree keystone correction facilitate image alignment.

Smooth gaming on a large screen

Enhanced Gaming Mode optimizes contrast and colors for gaming and reduces input lag. The projector’s specified minimum input lag is 4.4 ms, allowing for quick response times in games.

In addition to gaming, the projector features a dedicated Golf Sim Picture Mode designed for golf simulator use and natural reproduction of greens and blue tones.

Versatile connectivity and control

Two HDMI 2.0 ports enable connection of devices such as game consoles, computers, Blu-ray players, and media players. One of the HDMI ports supports eARC functionality. The projector also has two USB-A ports for powering external devices and a 3.5 mm audio output.

The projector can be controlled via RS232 and RJ45 connections. Compatible functions can be adjusted with the Optoma Smart Control App on a smartphone, using either an RJ45 connection or an optional Bluetooth adapter.

Built-in audio and versatile features

The built-in 15 W speaker allows use without a separate sound system. The projector also supports Full 3D content and 24p playback. Automatic power-off helps reduce energy consumption by turning off the projector after a set period of inactivity.
