The SnapRoll Mini offers a simple way to take square-shaped photos and videos, and it also functions as a digital photo frame when not in use.

Design and Usability

The SnapRoll Mini is designed to resemble the traditional 35 mm film look, bringing a nostalgic feel to digital photography. The camera is compact, measuring 41.3 × 44.7 × 22.5 millimeters, and its lightweight body makes it easy to carry around. The built-in 1.3-inch LCD screen helps with composing and viewing photos, and the USB-C connection allows for convenient charging and file transfer.

Photography Features

The SnapRoll Mini uses a 2-megapixel CMOS sensor to capture 1440 × 1440 pixel JPG photos. It also records videos at 720 × 720 pixels and 30 frames per second in AVI format. The fixed 3.2 mm f/2.8 lens enables shooting from approximately 0.3 meters to infinity. The shutter speed is 1/125 second, suitable for everyday use and general shooting situations.

Memory and Power Supply

The camera supports microSD memory cards ranging from 4 to 64 GB (card sold separately), providing ample storage for photos and videos. It is powered by a 180 mAh lithium-polymer battery, rechargeable via a USB-C cable. This makes charging fast and convenient without the need for separate batteries.

Special Features and Packaging

The SnapRoll Mini also functions as a digital photo frame, allowing it to display stored images without the need for a computer or other devices. The camera comes in a blind box packaging, containing one of six different retro-style models or a rare mystery version with a transparent shell. The mystery version’s lens mimics the classic Showa movie style, and obtaining it is random (probability 1/36). This makes the camera a collectible item and a unique gift idea.
