The SB-700 is compatible with FX and DX cameras, and due to its fast wireless control, it is attractive to various clients, including advanced photographers looking to expand their creative lighting system. It can be used as a master flash, controlling up to two flash groups and their exposure ratios. The SB-700 can also be used as a remote device in a flash setup.
Easy-to-use Speedlight
A versatile, easy-to-use Speedlight, compatible with Nikon FX and DX format SLRs and Nikon's enhanced creative lighting system. Incredibly intuitive to operate, it features a multitude of advanced functions that simplify the control of light quality and direction. Three zoom patterns provide complete control over flash coverage, and the easily accessible A:B mode allows for wireless control of multiple flash units. Its compact body means it is an ideal kit to have on hand for creative photography or for creating more balanced images in complex lighting conditions.

Guide Number: 25 (EVEN) / 28 (STD) / 30 (CW) (FX format, ISO 100m, at 35 mm). Maximum Guide Number: 38 (STD, FX format, ISO 100m, at 120 mm).
Depending on the situation, centered, even, and standard zoom patterns can be selected.
Very short recycle time: approximately 2.5 s using NiMH or alkaline batteries and approximately 3.5 s using lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.
Fast wireless control A:B mode: allows control of A and B Speedlight exposure ratios.
Integrated firmware can be updated using the connected camera's media.
Automatic overheat protection system: warns of excessive heat buildup during intensive shooting and, if necessary, delays the next shot.
Automatic filter detection: the Speedlight automatically adjusts the connected camera's color temperature settings according to the color filter being used.
