The BOYA Clip-on Lavalier Microphone BY-M2 for iOS is a versatile microphone with a Lightning adapter. It captures high-quality sound, making it ideal for interviews, vlogs, and presentations, both indoors and outdoors. The microphone can be easily attached to clothing at the collar.
The microphone has a directional polar pattern. This means that sounds from all directions of the microphone are recorded. A signal-to-noise ratio of 76dB ensures that a lot of noise in the recording is filtered out. Additionally, you can use the included windscreen to prevent unwanted noise, such as wind, from being captured. A 6-meter cable is attached to the microphone, allowing you to record from a greater distance from your device. The 3.5 mm TRS to Lightning adapter cable (Apple MFi certified) allows you to connect the microphone to your iOS device’s Lightning port. This adapter makes the BY-M2 versatile, as it allows you to connect other microphones and accessories with a TRS output to your iOS device (e.g., BY-RX8 and BY-MM1).
Power is supplied automatically when the microphone is connected to an iOS device. This means you don’t need any batteries. You can take everything with you safely and easily, wherever you go.
You can use the BY-M2 with all apps that typically use the iPhone or iPad’s built-in microphone. Think of the standard camera or voice recorder app. To use the microphone, attach the windscreen to the microphone and attach it to clothing using the clip. Then, attach the lavalier microphone to the Lightning adapter. Finally, connect the adapter to your iOS device and launch the desired app to capture the recording.
