The TP-Link Tapo C246D is an outdoor surveillance camera featuring two 2K resolution lenses. The device combines a fixed wide-angle lens with pan/tilt technology, covering wide areas without blind spots. The camera offers color night vision with built-in lights and intelligently detects people, pets, and vehicles, reducing unnecessary alerts. Thanks to its IP65 rating, the camera withstands weather conditions and can be installed flexibly in various indoor or outdoor locations.

Dual-lens surveillance

The Tapo C246D uses two 3-megapixel 2K lenses, allowing simultaneous monitoring of two different areas. The combination of a wide-angle 125° field of view and a 6 mm telephoto lens ensures clear details and comprehensive coverage. The pan/tilt lens automatically tracks moving objects while the fixed lens detects events.

Smart tracking and notifications

The camera’s AI technology accurately recognizes people, pets, and vehicles. You receive notifications only for relevant detections, reducing false alarms. You can also select the desired area within the wide-angle view for the pan/tilt camera to focus on with a single button press.

Color or infrared night vision

The camera provides bright color night vision up to 12 meters thanks to built-in lights. Alternatively, you can use black-and-white infrared mode or automatic mode, which intelligently adjusts lighting to achieve the best visibility in the dark.

Durable and versatile installation

With an IP65 rating, the camera operates reliably in various weather conditions. Its compact design allows installation upright, upside down, on a table, wall, ceiling, or pole both indoors and outdoors.

Storage and compatibility

The Tapo C246D records footage to a microSD card (up to 512 GB, sold separately) or to cloud storage with a Tapo Care subscription. Additionally, the camera supports two-way audio, enabling real-time speaking and listening. The device also works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings, making surveillance control easy via voice commands.
