Scythe Grand Flex 1200rpm Computer Case Fan 12 cm Grey (SM1225GF12L)

The Grand Flex Series is the latest creation in Scythe's system fan lineup. Forget the old, albeit proven engineering—every major component was re-developed from the ground up. The Grand Flex is equipped with a closed-loop liquid bearing (Sealed Precision FDB) where the rotor shaft rotates on a layer of oil created by dynamic pressure. This technique greatly reduces operating noise and friction, thereby slowing down wear and tear on the bearing. The newly designed fan blades specifically direct the airflow to the desired cooling area to optimize cooling efficiency.

Sealed Precision FDB
This newly developed bearing is a closed (sealed) system, in which the rotor shaft runs smoothly on a film of oil. Compared to conventional sleeve bearings, the sealed precision FDB works more quietly and results in less wear and tear of the bearing. The applied lubricant oil can withstand temperatures up to 250°C.

Fan Blade Design
The new fan blade design reduces turbulence and guides the airflow to the desired area. This effect is further enhanced by the angled shape of the blades towards the hub.

Vibration-Free Mounting
Included with the Grand Flex are insulation rubbers to prevent vibration to the PC case, contributing to a quieter operation.

4-Pin Molex Adapter
The 500 mm long, 3-pin cable allows for a direct connection to the motherboard, or alternatively, to a fan controller unit. If a direct connection to the power supply unit is preferred, the included 3-pin to 4-pin Molex adapter is provided. Scythe Grand Flex 1200rpm.
