Product description
Rollei Retro 400S 135-36. This film was created based on the Agfa-Gevaert aviation film (Aviphot Pan 200). Superpanchromatic sensitivity. This allows for photography using infrared light. The infrared effect is only achieved with filters that block visible light up to 715 nm (e.g., Heliopan RG 715). When exposed at EI 400/27°, this film has a very pronounced S-shaped characteristic curve. This results in a very contrasty image with very little shadow detail and very clearly defined mid-tones. If such contrast is not desired, it is recommended to expose 2-3 degrees more light and adjust the developing time accordingly (shorter developing time). Photographers who want optimal shadow detail, maximum light sensitivity, and even gray tones / optimal tonality will find an optimal film among standard ISO 400/27° black and white films such as “Ilford HP5+”, “Ilford Delta 400”, “Ilford XP2 Super 400”, “Kodak T-Max 400”, “Kodak Tri-X” or “Kentmere 400”.
