The Monolith intelligent charger will charge your battery using an intelligent 3-stage charging process that adjusts the charging voltage and current to the current state of charge of the battery, consisting of 3 stages:
The BULK stage is the identification of the battery and its needs, charging up to 80% of the battery capacity, with the maximum current maintained at a constant level and high voltage,
The BOOST stage is the so-called absorption charging, which maintains the charging voltage at a constant level between 14.1VDC and 14.8VDC, reducing the charging current,
The FLOAT stage is the final charging cycle, the so-called maintenance phase, in which the battery has already reached 95% capacity and gradually reaches 100%, during which the charging voltage decreases to a constant value between 13.0VDC and 13.8 VDC, and the charging current automatically drops to 0A after the battery is fully charged. The current battery charging stage is indicated by an LED located on the charger. Intelligent 3-stage charging has many advantages, primarily it can:
- Ensure a full and even battery charge, which improves its performance and lifespan,
- Prevent overheating, overcharging, or battery damage, which increases its safety and reliability,
- Save energy and costs, as it minimizes energy losses and the time required to charge the battery.
