Mouse: P.I. For Hire is a fast-paced first-person action game where 1930s classic cartoons meet a noir-inspired detective story. The hand-drawn black-and-white rubber hose animation style gives the game a striking retro look, and the story takes the player to the city of Mouseburg, filled with corruption, crime, and conspiracies. The player steps into the shoes of private detective Jack Pepper to investigate a disappearance case that quickly turns into a dangerous web full of kidnappings, murders, and corruption.

Fast-paced FPS action

The game combines fast-paced FPS gameplay with boomer shooter-style movement. Constant motion is key to survival, and Jack Pepper’s arsenal includes numerous weapons with a cartoonish twist, from machine guns to explosive special weapons. Powerful power-ups can turn the tide of battle in an instant.

Over 20 noir levels

The player explores over 20 noir-influenced levels set in dark streets, film studios, opera houses, toxic swamps, and underground sewers. Movement is diversified by unlockable abilities such as wall running, grapple hook, and double jump.

Atmosphere and sounds

The original big band jazz soundtrack supports the 1930s atmosphere and the style of the levels. The English voice cast includes, among others, Troy Baker, known from the Last of Us games.
