The Nikon PROSTAFF P7 10X50 binoculars offer 10x magnification and a 50 mm objective lens, which together provide bright and clear views in nature. These binoculars are lightweight, weighing only 630 g, and their streamlined design makes them easy to use and comfortable for longer observation sessions without a tripod. Water resistance and fogproofing ensure functionality even in challenging weather conditions.
Lightweight and Durable Construction
The PROSTAFF P7 binoculars are made of glass-fiber reinforced polycarbonate resin, making them lightweight yet durable. The rubber coating protects the binoculars from bumps and drops, and the adjustable rubber eyecups help find the correct viewing point. The objective lens covers are threaded, so they won't get lost easily.
Optical Performance
The binoculars feature Nikon's renowned multi-coated lenses and prism coatings, as well as dielectric, high-reflectivity multi-coatings and phase-correcting prism coatings. This combination ensures a bright, high-contrast view with natural colors. The large 50 mm objectives collect light efficiently, improving visibility even in low-light conditions.
Practical Features
The PROSTAFF P7 is waterproof and fogproof up to 1 meter deep for 10 minutes, thanks to O-ring seals and nitrogen purging. The diopter adjustment ring's locking system keeps the setting in place, and oil and water-repellent coatings make it easy to wipe away moisture and stains. The eye relief is large, making the binoculars well-suited for users who wear glasses.
Versatile Use
These binoculars are particularly suitable for birding and nature observation, but also for stargazing in the twilight. The wide field of view (105 m / 1000 m) helps track moving objects easily, and the minimum focus distance of 4.5 m allows for precise close-up shots.
