Schneider Electric Wiser Smoke Alarm. The Wiser fire alarm uses a photoelectric sensor to detect smoke from a fire. It also has a temperature sensor that detects heat as a result of a rapid rise in temperature. If the alarm is connected to the Wiser system, it sends notifications directly to your phone via the Wiser application.

The Wiser Optical Fire Alarm brings smart security to your smart home. The fire alarm detects smoke and a sudden rise in temperature, sounds an alarm, and sends a notification to your mobile phone *. With the Wiser app, the fire alarm can be combined with smart home automation, allowing you to automatically shut down outlets in the event of a fire or set all your home cameras to record events on a memory card. The Wiser app also reminds you to test the operation of the fire alarm at regular intervals.

The status of the device can be checked via a clear LED light, and if you want to silence the device momentarily (10 min), this can only be done by briefly pressing the front of the device. The fire alarm can also be used without the Wiser application, functioning like a traditional fire alarm. It is also possible to link the alarm to other Wiser fire alarms, providing comprehensive coverage throughout the apartment if smoke or a sudden rise in heat is detected in any room. Linking does not require a central unit for the Wiser smart home system to operate.

Comes with a ceiling/wall mounting plate, screws, and operating instructions. The device can be mounted on a flat ceiling, sloped ceiling, or wall. The fire alarm has a fixed battery that lasts for approximately 10 years. The battery is not replaceable.

* If you want to use the fire alarm on the Wiser system, you must have a CPU that supports Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant virtual assistants.
