The Jalo Helsingin Lento 10 fire alarm is a unique, playful fire alarm designed by Paola Suhonen. This alarm is suitable, for example, as a detail in a children's room or as an injection of energy into a home's interior.

Lento 10 utilizes optical smoke detection technology. Photoelectric or optical detection is the most common and reliable technology in fire alarms; when smoke is detected, a loud and continuous 85 dB warning sound is emitted from the detector. Jalo's smoke detectors also feature a diagnostic function, which allows the device to check itself at regular intervals to ensure proper functioning throughout its lifespan.

The alarm features quick installation using either 3M installation tape or the included screws; both are provided in the package. The fire alarm is activated upon installation—simply remove the protective plastic from the tape. Authorities recommend replacing fire alarms at least every ten years; the Lento 10 fire alarm does not require battery changes during its entire recommended lifetime.
