Product description
Expansion for the CATAN board game. Years pass and the island of Catan is completely inhabited. It lures the adventurous people of Catan out into the open sea towards new shores. New ships are built from wood and wool to sail the open seas. You can also find precious gold to trade on the new shores. The game includes new scenarios for exploration.
CATAN is a board game that has won several Game of the Year awards and puts players in the role of new settlers to populate the ever-changing island of Catan. On each turn, the active player rolls a die. The roll of the die determines which areas produce raw materials. If the player has a village or a city next to that area, they receive cards. After that, players can exchange cards with each other as they wish. Finally, the active player can use their cards to build new roads, villages at the end of the roads, and cities in place of villages. Development cards describing the advancement of life can also be obtained.
