When the former AKG designers founded their own company, Austrian Audio, in the summer of 2017, they made it their ambitious goal to bring top-class audio technology back to Vienna, the capital of Austria. The heart-patterned OC16 features a CKR6 microphone capsule handcrafted in Vienna, and is an excellent microphone for vocals or instruments.
The large-diaphragm OC16 is a microphone implemented with Open Acoustics technology, which works very well for miking drums as well as acoustic instruments, amplifiers or vocals.
