Fairy lights
Fairy lights add soft decorative lighting and work well beyond the holidays, adding everyday cosiness on a shelf, by a window, or above a bed. The range includes battery-powered models that can go anywhere without a socket, as well as mains-powered versions for a more permanent setup. The strand length, the number and colour of the lights, and how bendable the wire is all point to which task a string works best for. It's also worth checking water resistance if the lights will hang outside or on a balcony.
