TVs

Modern TVs range from compact Full HD sets for the kitchen or bedroom to large 4K screens built around OLED and QLED panels with deep blacks and rich colour. Screen size is the natural starting point - living rooms usually call for 50 inches or more, smaller rooms get by with less. A smart platform streams films and series without an external box, so check that it runs the apps you actually use. Gamers and sports fans should look for a 100–120 Hz refresh rate and enough HDMI ports for a console, soundbar or set-top box.
