Wall lights
Mounted wall lights free up floor or shelf space and give directional or diffused light exactly where there's no socket for a floor lamp. These fixtures are often installed in a hallway, above a staircase, or beside a bed instead of a bedside lamp. The shade can point up, down, or both ways, which changes how light spreads across the room. Since the fixture is usually wired into the wall, it's worth checking with an electrician beforehand about installation and the right bulb base.
