Crisp toast in a couple of minutes is what a toaster is for. Two-slice and four-slice models are available here, all with adjustable browning so everyone gets their preferred shade.
Defrost and reheat settings help when bread comes straight from the freezer or the toast has gone cold, and a cancel button stops the cycle at any point. Check the slot width - thick slices and buns need wider openings - and look for a removable crumb tray that keeps cleaning quick. Some models add a warming rack for rolls on top.
