External Hard Drives

Backing up photos, projects and games takes space, and an external hard drive is the simplest way to add it. Pocket-sized 2.5-inch drives run straight off a USB port, while 3.5-inch desktop units hold more but need their own power supply. Compare capacity, interface (USB 3.0 or USB-C) and speed: a classic HDD is fine for archives, an external SSD makes more sense for video editing or frequent transfers. If the drive travels with you, a shock-resistant casing is worth having.
