As a Strix machine, the G16 is designed from the ground up to push the limits of gaming performance. Its advanced cooling system keeps temperatures in check and gives the system room to reach its full potential - even when overclocked. In Turbo mode, the unit reaches up to 230 watts of total power, but in Manual mode, the user can freely adjust the settings and increase the power up to 255 watts. This gives gamers full control over performance in the most demanding situations.

Easy upgradeability

The 2025 Strix G16 has been completely redesigned to make it even easier to upgrade. The tool-less design allows quick access to RAM, SSD and fans. The SSD slots use the latest Q-latch system, which makes it easy to remove and replace the drive without the need for tools. The RAM can also be replaced in seconds. Other parts of the motherboard are protected by a specially designed bezel that can be removed with a few screws if needed for more extensive maintenance or modifications.

ROG Intelligent Cooling

The 2025 Strix G16's redesigned cooling solution ensures smooth performance in every gaming session. All vents have been moved to the back of the device, diverting warm air away from the mouse hand and improving comfort. Ventilation is provided from the sides and bottom, creating an efficient and natural airflow throughout the system. Air also circulates through the keyboard lid, helping to keep hands cool during intense gaming. The cooling system combines an end-to-end vapour chamber, a double-sided heat sink, a Tri-Fan solution and Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal used in both the processor and the graphics card. These features allow the Strix G16 to run quieter in turbo mode than previous generation models, while still delivering the same level of computing power you've come to expect from the Strix series.
