Keychron K4 HE SE is a wireless mechanical keyboard that combines the advantages of traditional mechanical construction with magnetic technology. Its 96% full-size layout provides a compact yet full-featured typing experience, and magnetic switches allow for precisely adjustable key activation depth. The keyboard is suitable for gaming as well as typing, and its minimalist design with natural rosewood accents adds elegance to your desktop.

Magnetic switches and adjustable activation depth

The Keychron K4 HE uses Gateron's dual-track magnetic switches, which are pre-lubricated for a smooth and stable typing experience. Instead of traditional mechanical switches, the magnetic switches measure the depth of pressure using hall-effect sensors. This allows you to adjust the activation depth between 0.2 and 3.8 mm with 0.1 mm accuracy, giving you full control over key response and preventing accidental presses.

Gaming Features and Customizability

The keyboard features Last Key Priority (LKP) and Snap Click functions to enhance gameplay, especially in FPS games. Dynamic Rapid Trigger reacts to key movement without predefined points, and Dynamic Keystrokes (DKS) allows you to assign up to four different functions to a single key based on the depth of the press. Analog Mode, on the other hand, brings game-controller-like precision control to applications such as racing games and sports simulations.

Operation and compatibility

Keychron K4 HE uses open QMK firmware, which makes it easy to reconfigure keys, create macros and shortcuts using the Keychron Launcher web application. The application works on all operating systems and browsers without any separate installation. This allows you to adjust the keyboard settings anywhere, anytime.

Wireless connectivity and sound attenuation

The keyboard supports 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity at 1000 Hz polling rate and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, allowing up to three devices to connect simultaneously. An internal 3.5mm thick EVA acoustic foam, EPDM foam and silicone cushion dampen sound for a smooth and comfortable typing experience.

Useability and durability

The K4 HE is designed with Mac users in mind, but also offers Windows compatibility and interchangeable keycaps for both systems. PBT plastic double-shot keycaps resist wear and tear and prevent fading of markings. Hot-swappable magnetic switches allow easy replacement without soldering. The keyboard's north-facing RGB LED lights offer more than 22 lighting options that can be adjusted in Keychron Launcher.

Security and Upgradability

QMK firmware is open source and auditable, ensuring secure and transparent use without hidden features. Keychron Launcher is constantly updated, so you always get the latest features without any separate installations.
