Assassins Creed Valhalla takes players to the Viking Age and tells the story of the Eivor Viking Warrior.

The game, set in the 8th century, presents a wonderful, open and lively game world that ties together both the Viking robberies and the gloomy and bloody era of England. The game brings new features to the series, such as the ability to organize your own raids and set up your own settler community in a new country. Strengthening your own community also increases the influence of the player-led area.

A player-controlled Eivor can be a male or female fighter of the player's choice. You can also customize your own character in many ways with regard to hairstyles, tattoos, war paintings and accessories to express your own style. In addition, the player represents his own character in terms of various decisions that affect the future of his own society. Different decisions in struggle, politics, and debate each take the story in its own direction.

Leaving Norway, Eivor leads his troops through the icy sea towards the green lands and green farming areas of England. England, made up of broken kingdoms, is the most favorable environment for capable Vikings, who, in addition to farming and plundering, also know the noble art of fighting. At the same time, the game mechanics cover an even more versatile two-weapon combat technique that allows the use of different fighting styles. In addition, the player can utilize the troops of his Viking ships to conquer various territories and seize these riches.

Opposing Saxons, like King Aelfred of Wessex, however, do not reach the Vikings easily, but condemn these settlers as wicked Gentiles. Eivor must do everything in his power to survive his people.
