Product description

Armac 650E Office UPS series is specifically designed for a wide range of business applications. In order to meet the expectations of companies using Line-Interactive UPSs, the manufacturer has developed solutions to fulfil their needs.

High-quality, direct access to power status information and precision at every stage of manufacturing have been ensured by the producer, which translates into high operation stability, safety, while providing users with quick, real-time diagnostics.

The device provides users with complete surge protection and high-performance while retaining its small size and low price, making it even more competitive on the UPS market.

Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) – complete protection of office equipment

Multifunctional UPSs that are both suitable for simple applications, as well as more complex systems are a standard in modern offices nowadays. There is a great variety of uninterrupted power supply devices on the market, each different than other. However, no company would like to overpay and let the surplus of power remain unused or invest in solutions that would not deliver the required performance.

Considering customers’ high expectations, the Armac has prepared a dedicated backup power solution with a built-in LCD display. This simplifies the UPS management and displays real-time power status and parameters. The mixture of innovation, high-performance and functionality allowed to create products, which meet customer requirements and maintain affordable prices.

Armac UPS with LCD display is targeted to everyone, who needs to power important office devices such as:

-TVs, PCs, gaming consoles, IP cameras,
-Switches, routers, repeaters, extenders, VoIP phones,
-NAS servers, other network storage devices.

Moreover, UPSs are also suitable for far more complex systems, like:

- Cable TV, CCTV systems,
-Fire alarms,
-Access control, sensors, IP CCTV systems.

Microprocessor control – high-performance and sensitive devices protection
Armac UPS protects your devices from any damage, resulting from a sudden power loss.

Highly-functional processor fitted underneath the UPS is responsible for the correct operation of the entire power supply system. Moreover, CPU controls every parameter of the device itself, including dispatching power supply to all connected loads.

With the use of integrated CPU control technology UPS can instantly react to low or high voltages, spikes, power outages, overvoltages, overloads, as well as protect the battery / batteries from total discharge. In addition, this technology eliminates other electrical anomalies that may occur when using the power from mains.

Technology used in Armac UPSs also allows batteries to be charged automatically in standby mode. When the power in mains returns, UPS will turn on (even if battery is discharged), so that the connected loads are constantly provided with safe, clean and reliable power, regardless of operating mode.

Additional layer of security with Armac UPS – overload protection

Each Armac uninterrupted power supply system is equipped with an overload protection module that protects the device against possible damages caused by excessive loads.

While UPS is overloaded (indicated by a blinking ,,Overload''LED and a continuous alarm signal) during its normal operation and this problem is not resolved, by the user, within approximately 10 seconds, UPS will automatically terminate the power supply to the connected devices. LED is blinking and the device rings a continuous tone. If the overload problem is not resolved by the user within approximately 10 seconds, the UPS automatically cuts the power supply to connected devices.

If the sum of the connected loads does not exceed the accepted power value, UPS must be switched on again by pressing the power button, which will properly reinitiate power to any loads attached to Armac device.

With this additional layer of security, home users do not have to worry about UPS being overloaded. This increases both safety and convenience, when using Armac uninterruptible power supplies.

Safe network and telephone connection with RJ-11/RJ-45 surge protection

More and more users are using additional security devices between the power outlet and the target hardware for an indirect protection against electrical damage. Unfortunately, many people tend to forget about the consequences of having an unprotected communication ports that are used daily, such as RJ-11 (modems / phones) or RJ-45 (network adapters / devices).

It is worth remembering that overvoltages can occur not just in the power grid (mains) but also within the IT network, what is being frequently forgotten by the users, unfortunately. However, when using Armac backup power solutions, users can remain calm, while their equipment, connected to the UPS, is safe from surges.

Each UPS model is equipped with 2 x RJ-11/RJ-45 ports, which provide surge protection for both telephone lines and network cabling. With this particular protection, any overvoltages or voltage spikes present in the network, will be immediately detected by the UPS and corrected to ensure that your devices always have a stable, secure signal via telephone / network cables.

Automatic Voltage Regulator - AVR

Armac offers improved UPS performance through the use of the Automatic Voltage Regulator. With AVR, the classic line-interactive power topology solution is enhanced by the introduction of an autotransformer that continuously adjusts the voltage transmitted to the devices connected with the UPS.

*The manufacturer, with the best interest of the highest safety standards in mind, has implemented additional safety features to eliminate extreme voltage fluctuations. If any of them occur (< 145V or > 290V) - UPS will eventually switch to the battery mode, maintaining the entire power supply for the loads, while retaining the acceptable power parameters.

• If the voltage is about 255V or higher, then UPS will transmit the AC power to the autotransformer (AVR) and the output voltage will be within the allowable range from 195 to 255V.

• If the voltage is approximately 195 V or less, then UPS will transmit the AC power to the autotransformer (AVR) and the output voltage will be within the allowable range from 195V to 255V..
This whole procedure is very convenient, highly-efficient and in the event of a continuous surplus or power supply shortage, the UPS has the ability to maintain the nominal output voltage, for a long time, without switching to battery mode, saving the time that should be strictly reserved for backup power.

Discreet operation – mute mode

Anyone who values peace and quiet does not want to be bothered by noisy devices, producing unwanted sounds that indicate their status changes.

UPS operation (especially when working in battery mode) is often associated with frequent sounds every now and then. This is particularly annoying, when UPSs are being places near TVs, PCs, living rooms, which will definitely cause some dissatisfaction among occupants.

Armac does not intend to bother any users. Every uninterrupted supply model boasts silent operation even in battery mode. This will certainly be a bliss for the most demanding UPS users, who appreciate the silence, regardless of the operating mode.

Precision, multiple possibilities and great design for modern offices to top it all off

This is exactly how you can describe an Armac UPS using few words. Device features match the user criteria they are facing. Affordable price, high-performance, stability, direct access to data via the LCD display and additional capabilities. For the sake of safety and convenience, UPSs are designed in a way that does not require any part replacement. Characteristic parameters of the Office Series UPS are:

- Nominal power: 650 VA, 390 W,
- Output sockets: 2, French (type E),
- Batteries: 1 pcs., 12 V / 7 Ah,
- Wide input voltage range: 145 V ~ 290 V,

Lastly, producer of UPS – Armac has added some finishing touches like an additional communication port or LCD display, which guarantee better control of the device and its related parameters, via dedicate software. Those extra features include:

- LCD display indicating current status of the device,
- Dedicated PowerManager II software for UPS control via USB port,
- Automatic UPS startup, when the mains power is restored,
- “Cold start” function, which allows turning the UPS on, without mains supply.
