A redesigned model of the BabyBjörn One test winner carrying backpack (Consumer 2/2014)!

The following improvements have been made to the BabyBjörn Carrier Backpack One:

• An even higher headrest, which also better supports the head of an older child when the child is sleeping in a backpack.
• The redesigned headrest adjustment buckle allows for more versatile headrest positions and support.
• The plate of the seat part has been increased and the seat part can be adjusted in a more versatile way than before.
• The design of the seat part has been rounded, which makes it very comfortable for the child to travel in a carrying backpack.
• New types of shoulder pads that allow the child's weight to be distributed over an even wider area with less strain on the wearer's upper back.
• The amount of fabric between the child and the adult has been reduced, allowing the child to get even closer to the wearer.
• The amount of padding has been reduced, making it easier for the wearer to observe that the child is traveling in the correct position in the backpack.

A new generation carrying backpack with plenty of adjustment options and four different carrying positions for carrying on the back and side. The waist strap and padded shoulder straps balance the weight and make the carrying case ergonomic. All fabrics are gentle on your baby’s skin and safe to put in your mouth.

The International Hip Dysplasia Institute has tested the BabyBjörn Carrier Backpack One and classified it as promoting hip health. The newborn's hips receive the right kind of support and the legs turn outwards optimally. It promotes the development of hip joints, which is especially important during the first months of your child’s life.

Suitable for 0-3 year olds. Minimum weight and height of child: 3.5 kg / 53 cm. Maximum child weight and height: 15 kg / 100 cm.

Carrying positions

1. About 0 to 4 months: Just the right height for newborns. At the newborn level, you can carry your baby higher than usual alongside; face to face and close to the heart. It guarantees eye contact, intimacy and the ability to observe a child’s breathing. Reduce the leg openings with the leg straps if your child weighs 3.5 to 4.5 kg.
2. About 4 to 15 months: Lower level for older babies. The leg openings are easy to adjust to fit the baby facing the wearer face to face.
3. About 5 to 15 months: You can fold the headrest down and carry it forward, at least occasionally, as his neck, hips and spine are sufficiently developed for it. In addition, most babies enjoy observing the environment as their backs rest securely against the father’s or mother’s chest. Minimum age for face-ahead: 5 months. Maximum weight face forward when carrying 12 kg.
4. More than 12 months: Easy and safe carrying position on the back. Lift the child's face towards you in the carrying case and twist the whole carrying case from front to back. Materials and care instructions:

• Main material: 60% cotton, 40% polyester.
• Lining: 100% cotton.
• Waist strap lining: 100% polyester.
• Cushions: polyester and polyurethane (straps).
• Machine wash at 40 degrees. Wash separately from other laundry and use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach.
• No tumble drying.

The backpack One meets the requirements of the safety standard EN13209-2: 2005. Does not contain substances harmful to health. Certified according to Class 1 of the Öko-Tex® 100 standard required for baby products.
