The Sony HT-A9 is Sony's new four-speaker surround sound system that can be connected to a separately sold subwoofer. Experience the sound from every direction and distance, even outside the boundaries of the room. Thanks to the unique 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, the Sony HT-A9 surround sound system takes you, your family and friends to a new kind of multidimensional experience. The revolutionary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology creates up to 12 phantom speakers from four speakers. The extra-wide listening area fills the entire space so that family and friends get the same listening experience. The listening area is not limited to the front of the TV, but covers a much larger space.
There is no need to reorganize the room or precisely place the speakers. The HT-A9 system has two microphones in each speaker to measure their relative height and position so that the system can create 12 phantom speakers for immersive surround sound in the room.
By adding a separately sold woofer for low frequencies, you can make the system produce sounds even more impressive. Two models are available, which give you deeper bass, brighter sounds and very high-quality sound reproduction. See here for suitable subwoofers SA-SW5 and SA-SW3.
