Cotton:
Cotton hammocks can be washed using mild detergents, brushes and garden hoses. The hammock must be lying down. Do not hang it because cotton is flexible and the hammock can stretch. Do not wash a clean hammock as cotton is not durable.
Polyester:
wash using mild detergents. Also, don't hang, as this can lead to sprains. When washing, rinse with plenty of water.
Dyed acrylic fabrics:
wash as above. These fabrics are resistant to mildew, but dirt can settle in the gaps, so clean the hammock often.
