To prevent overheating of the HDDs and SSDs at full duty, the aluminium case provides a good heat dissipation and is a perfect match wit the two 40-mm Fans.
Fast transport
... is assure by SATA III and a SAS chipset. Due to Sata Power no extra powerline is needed for the Backplane. The status led can be switched off.
