The Canon XA60 Professional UHD 4K camcorder is a compact, lightweight, and professional camera with many similarities to its predecessor, the XA45, including UHD 4K recording, a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor, two XLR audio inputs, and one mini HDMI output. Designed for ENG, suitable for documentary or journalistic-style productions.
Canon 4K Sensor
The 4K sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor deliver a clear UHD image, while the 8-blade aperture provides cinematic, out-of-focus highlights. Record using the bright 3.5-inch LCD screen or use the built-in OLED electronic viewfinder (EVF).
UVC Direct Streaming
Stream HD video directly from the camera to a Windows or MacOS computer via UVC1. Audio output via USB is not supported.
Professional Audio Controls
Two XLR terminals on the detachable handle and 4-channel linear PCM provide a range of professional audio options.
4K 20x Optical Zoom Lens
The Canon lens covers a 29.3 mm wide angle (35 mm equivalent) and a powerful 612 mm reach. To reduce camera shake, the camera features Canon Dynamic 5-axis image stabilization.
Fast, Accurate Focusing with Face Detection
The XA60 has an adjustable focus speed, and an advanced hybrid AF system ensures fast and accurate focusing. Use the bright, high-resolution 3.5-inch LCD screen to set focus by touching the AF point on the screen. Face detection AF and face tracking functions are available, and manual focus is set using the focus/zoom ring.
XF-AVC and MP4 for Flexible Recording
Choose from XF-AVC or MP4 recording formats. Record XF-AVC 4K UHD at 160 Mb/s at 30P and Full HD at 45 Mb/s at 60p/60i and 30/24p. If you want to use smaller files, record MP4 4K at 150 Mb/s at 30/24p and Full HD at 35 Mb/s or 17 Mb/s at 60/30/24p.
Professional Input and Output
Output options include simultaneous backup recording and relay recording using two SD cards and infrared mode. Record slow-motion footage in Full 5x HD or Fast Motion 4K / Full HD resolution up to 1200x. Colors are matched to other Canon cameras using a custom image menu
