The Alta Hip Seat Baby Carrier offers a versatile and comfortable way to carry your baby or toddler. It combines hands-free carrying with one-handed support to make everyday life easier, for example on shopping trips or during naptime. Suitable for children aged 4-48 months with a weight range of around 5.4-20 kg. The breathable SoftFlex™ mesh material and supportive waist strap add to the comfort of use, and the carrycot easily converts from a hip seat to a full-blooded carrycot.

Carrying Modes and Purpose

Alta Hip Seat offers four carrying modes: baby can be carried in front facing the parent or facing away, sideways in the hip seat position or on the back. The Hip seat function helps you carry your baby for shorter periods of time, for example at home, reducing the strain on your arms and back. To switch to a supine position, attach the included back panel with shoulder straps.

Comfort and materials

The carrycot features a breathable SoftFlex™ mesh material that improves ventilation and keeps the wearer and child cooler. The waistband is padded and quiet for added comfort. Removable foam seat provides a supportive and comfortable place for your child to sit. Materials are 100% polyester with no flame retardants.

Use and care

The carrier backpack is machine washable once the foam seat is removed and all labels and buckles are closed. Use a mild detergent that does not contain bleach, fragrances or other irritants. The waist strap length is adjustable up to 132 cm and should be fastened above the hips for comfortable support.

Safety and recommendations

Alta Hip Seat is suitable for children with good head and neck control, usually from around 4 months of age. It is recommended to start carrying the child face away only when the child is able to hold his/her head steady. When the child is about 6 months of age and able to sit up, the transition to a supine position is possible. The child's well-being and comfort is paramount, so it is advisable to change the carrying position as needed.

Exterior features

The back hood can be used to protect the child from the sun or to provide privacy, for example during breastfeeding. Reflective details increase visibility in low light.
