Bold, italicise or underline — even copy and paste — with just a couple of taps. The onscreen Shortcut Bar can also be customised for third-party apps, so the tools you need are always just where you need them.

Perform even more useful commands on your iPad Pro — like switching between apps or bringing up search — with familiar keyboard shortcuts on your Smart Keyboard. You can even interact with apps using their own built-in shortcuts. Just press and hold the Command key to see shortcuts in any app that supports them.

To take full advantage of the Smart Connector, we created a unique conductive fabric that allows the two-way flow of power and data. Placed between a protective polyurethane outer layer and a soft microfibre inner lining, it helps make the Smart Keyboard anything but conventional.

Innovation across the board.
Unlike traditional keyboards, there are no gaps between keys to trap crumbs or coffee. Instead, the keys have been laser ablated into a single sheet of durable custom-woven fabric. It provides the spring-like tension for each key, eliminating the need for bulky conventional mechanisms. The fabric is also coated in a water- and stain-resistant finish.Apple Smart.
