This system allows the SmartOffice PS406U Plus to scan mixed batches of varying paper sizes and weights. Able to handle everything from business cards to rigid ID cards and documents, the SmartOffice PS406U Plus easily scans both sides of one sheet in just one pass. The automatic document feeder (ADF) is also robust enough to feed up to three hard cards continuously or an embossed card up to 1.2 mm in thickness.

The PS406U Plus scanner prevents multi-feeds by checking the thickness of documents and detecting overlapping pages with the built-in ultrasonic multi-feeds detection capability. Users will be warned when a multi-feed is detected.

Button utility to simplify document scanning. DocAction enables you to specify your personalized scanning configuration settings and scan documents with the touch of a button. Scanned documents are automatically sent directly to Printer, Email, Folder or FTP. DocAction also enables you to scan directly to many imaging and document management applications. DocAction saves scanned documents in all common imaging formats including: JPEG, TIFF, and PDF.
