The next-generation, high-speed 802.11ax WiFi system delivers speeds of up to 1500 Mbps for lag-free gaming, smooth 4K UHD video playback and ultra-fast file sharing. The increasing number of personal and IoT devices connected to the network has led to an overall load on the network that is already pushing the limits of the current WiFi standard. Previous generation 802.11ac WiFi (WiFi 5) can only handle one device at a time on each network channel, which is not an efficient use of the available bandwidth. The OFDMA technology in WiFi 6 splits each channel into smaller subchannels, allowing signals from multiple devices to be combined and transmitted at the same time. This in turn reduces latency and provides a smoother and more enjoyable Wi-Fi experience for the user.
