Starting the measurement function is simple: just press the backlit function button. The device display and optional beeps guide the user through the blow test. The Dräger Alcotest 4000 is ready for operation in seconds and can be blown immediately. You can navigate the menu with the same function key.

The mouthpiece of the device is easy to snap into place and can be protected with a hygienic cover. Each person to be tested should use their own mouthpiece. The device comes with three interchangeable mouthpieces and more can be purchased separately. The blowing air passes through the air passage of the mouthpiece, and only a small sample of the air is taken for analysis. This ensures that the residual alcohol from previous blows does not remain in the device and the measurement results remain accurate and reliable.
